Dr. Justine’s Farewell
So long, farewell, auch wiedersehen, good night…
Over the course of the last couple of weeks I have tried to tell as many of you, my wonderful practice members, in person, as possible, that I am preparing to move aaaaaallllll the way to South America — Peru to be exact. This is not a decision that I have taken lightly, as I absolutely love everyone at the Cafe of Life and the wonderful community that I have been fortunate to be a part of here in London.
Over the past several months as my partner, Louis, has approached graduation from Chiropractic College in Toronto, we spent many hours deliberating over what the best plan was for this next step in our lives.
If you have not been to a Think By Design yet (you should come to the one on July 20th!), I’ll share with you one of the core concepts that helped us immensely in this process: Values Based Decision Making.
As challenging as it will be to leave the wonderful Life By Design community in London, which has been the best possible environment for me to start my career as a chiropractor, the opportunity to continue to grow in a new environment, to experience a new culture, learn a new language, see new parts of the world, climb mountains and surf in the ocean (not to mention escape the winter!) were the deciding factors in choosing to move to Peru. I have always been an advocate of living the life that you want to have, NOW, even if it is uncomfortable and challenging.
I will be joining a busy chiropractic office in the city of Arequipa (located 7700 feet up in the Andes mountains). If anyone has the urge to visit Machu Pichu in the coming months and would like to have their spine checked while you’re abroad, please, please, please stop in and say hi!
It is my sincere hope that the people who I will get to check and adjust are as great to be around as all of you! Also that the Chiropractor and office team at this new practice are anywhere near as great, as both mentors and friends, as Dr. Joel, Laura, & Brent. Thank you all for being such a powerful and delightful part of my life over the past two years.
So long, farewell, auchwiedersehen, goodbye… I will miss you.
Dr. Justine Ward
